Prof dr hab. Chandra S. Pareek
Chandra Shekhar Pareek is a full-Professor and received professorships two times from the President of the Republic of Poland in the Animal Sciences/Zootechnics (2012) discipline and Veterinary Medicine (2021) discipline in the field of agriculture science. Presently, He is the research group leader of the "Division Functional genomics in Biological and Biomedical Research" Unit of the Interdisciplinary Centre for Modern Technology (ICMT), (www.icnt.umk.pl), Nicolaus Copernicus University (NCU), Toruń, Poland. He has published over 200 research papers including more than 80 peer-reviewed original research papers in the field of genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, nutrigenomics, and other Omics research in Animal and Veterinary sciences. The research interests focused on the development of immune-relevant gene markers (1995-2000), genome scan procedures and DNA pooling for mapping complex disease loci (2000-2004), high-throughput genomics (2005-2021) including massively parallel sequencing and functional genomics, integration of high-throughput genomic towards genome-wide transcriptome analysis and interdisciplinary MultiOmics research in the field of Animal and Veterinary Sciences (2008-2021). Currently, Prof. Pareek is working on multi-omics research in veterinary and animal sciences with three thematic research topics:
1) Nutrigenomics research in Sus Scrofa and Bos taurus genome;
2) Multi-Omics analysis of reproductive tissues of Sus Scrofa and Bos taurus genome;
3) Veterinary Bioinformatics: Co-expression genes and network analysis of Multi-Omics data of Sus Scrofa and Bos taurus genome using R package of WGCNA script.
